Gminny Osrodek Kultury Oleśnica

GOK Oleśnica conducts educational, artistic and recreational activities through the operation of 24 cultural objects. Its resources include: 21 rural community centers, headquarters in Boguszyce GOK with internet access and a library and has in Boguszyce, 26 artistic groups; 14 folk groups and children groups of chbrary, two dio art – glass (fusing) in Boguszyce, a painting and sculpture studio in Jenkowice and 21 sports sections.

In addition, GOK Oleśnica organises various cultural events, including reviews, competitions and presentations of traditional folk culture and folklore. It also hosts recreation and sport events for children, adolescents and adults. Events are designed to preserve the folk traditions of communities, encourage environmental and artistic development, as well as improve the physical health of people of all ages. The activities of the facility have a positive impact on integration within communities and create alternative ways of leisure and recreation in Oleśnica.

Since 2010, GOK Oleśnica has run a number of international projects (mostly funded by the EU, the Swiss State and the Polish state -such as the Ministry of Culture and the National Centre for Culture) which focus on intercultural learning, tolerance, cultural diversity and social inclusion.
